God is a beast!

So I recently started reading through Psalms with a friend and I read today back through chapter one-four and God showed me some awesome things and I thought I should share. =)
God started off encouraging me with Psalm 1:1-3 It says Blessed is the man who walks no in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners,nor sits in the seat of scoffers, 2. but his delight is in the law of the Lord , and on His law he meditates day and night. 3. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leave does not wither. In all the he does, he prospers.
God just started off this morning telling me that as long as I remember Him throughout the day and start and finish my day with Him and love his commands then I will be blessed. Pretty much I just want everyone to know out of this verse that God honors us when we seek Him and want to be closer to Him. He gives us opportunities and blesses us in ways we can't imagine. If we are for God who can be against us? I just want to encourage you to cling to the Lord and He'll do some crazy awesome things in your life.

Psalm 2:11Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Before I read this God had been working on my heart and kind of telling me I need to serve Him more.. Whether it's in the church or helping someone out.. and yesterday a friend of mine asked me to help him move today.. I didn't even think about it until I read this verse this morning. God gave me a joy about helping my friend move so that was a pretty awesome thing that God showed me.

Psalm 3:3-4,4:1 But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, You are my glory, the one who holds my head high. 4. I cried out to the Lord, and He answered me. 4:1Answer me when I call to you, O God who declares me innocent. Free me from my troubles. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
These verses just encouraged me a lot through the day that God is my glory and He's my shield and will keep evil away from me. It helped me keep my head high as I faced temptation and battles through the day. 3:4 and 4:1 helped me a lot just knowing that all I have to do is cry out to God and He will answer our prayers. =)

3:8 Victory comes from you, O Lord may you bless your people.
Again God reminded me that as long as we cling to Him we have victory and will be blessed.

4:5 Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the Lord.
God has showed me some things that I've been putting before Him lately and I've kind of blown it off until today.. This verse was kind of like God reminding me that if we sacrifice things to Him and trust Him that He will bless us and it will all work out for the good.

4:6-8 Many people say, "Who will show us better times?" Let your face smile on us, Lord. 7. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
This kind of goes with the verse before this... God gives us a greater joy then all the things we put before Him. God is our joy. Nothing can take that away. =)

4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
What a great verse to end the day with! =D

I just want everyone to get something out of the blogs so they may get closer to the Lord. God is our joy and He watches over us. He will keep your head up high. Cry out to Him and He will answer. Be blessed. Thanks.

Who we are.

This is Diamond and Tanner we're going to tell all of you awesome people about ourselves.
I am Tanner. I'm 18 my birthday is March 10th. I live at home with my family. I like to skateboard ride my dirt scoot(dirt bike) and hang out with the homies. I'm a follower of Jesus. Christianity is an everyday lifestyle for me. To follow Christ and be all I can be to imitate him and let people see His light in the world. (Matthew 5:16) I don't get it right everyday I've went through some stuff in my life before God came into my life and saved me. That's not the point here. The point is for me to tell you about Christ and the amazing things He does in my life on a day to day basis.
I am Diamond. Im 17 and my B-Day rocks out on Aug 14. I also live at home with my family, but soon I will move out. Bummer I know . I love to skateboard , Play music, try to ride dirt scoots , and eat. I would have to speak for both Tanner and myself by saying we love living the fun crazy random spontaneous parts of life , but we also know we have a purpose and a reason for our creation.( Matthew 28:19) ,( Acts 1:8) For me life has been an amazing and sometimes difficult adventure . I'm still trying to learn and figure out who I am and what I'm suppose to do as I grow up. I know that it will come with age , time and maturity ,but God has shown me ( 1st John 3:1-3 ) at that gives me peace for now . I hope our Blog is an inspiration and a picture to all who read of what and who Jesus Christ of Nazareth is and the love he has and offers to all who are will.
Oh and before we forget . Don't be afraid to ask questions . We as humans may not know everything you throw at us , but with time we can figure out your question and give you answers.
